STICK

Congrats on getting your STICK!

It’s ready to go right out of the box. You can plug it in and start using it with Rekordbox, Engine DJ, or any Pioneer or Denon setup.

Your stick comes formatted in FAT32, which is compatible with Mac and Windows, and works perfectly with all Pioneer CDJs and Denon players. This format ensures maximum compatibility and reliability, especially for club use.

However, FAT32 does come with a few limitations:
◦ Maximum file size of 4 GB
◦ Slightly slower performance when transferring large files

For Mac users:

If you only use Macs and want a speed boost, you can reformat the stick to HFS+ (Mac OS Extended). This removes the 4 GB file size limit and can improve read and write speeds.

HFS+ is supported by most Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS, CDJ-2000NXS2, and newer players, as well as by all Denon DJ systems that support macOS-formatted drives. It will not work with Windows, and some older CDJs (such as CDJ-850, 900, or 1000 series) may not recognize it.

If you plan to use your stick across different systems or in club environments, FAT32 remains the safest and most universal choice.
